She had sent many of her sisters out in search of a new wizard to use, but so far they had turned up nothing but rumors. One such rumor coming from Aydindril looked promising.
Whispers told of a wizard whos only gift was that of subtractive magic and was intertwined with the viel of the underworld itself. Now if she could get her hands on this wizard the possibilities were limitless!
Liliana flipped closed the journey book she had been reading and set it back down infront of the sister.
"I want you to tell them to find as much information about this man as possible, but do not confront him. With a gift such as his it could be very dangerous and I don't want to lose my eyes up there."
The woman carefully pulled the book closer to her and was careful to keep her head bowwed.
"As you command Empress."
She quickly exitted the room, nearly breaking into a run. Liliana had become very short tempered with them since.. The incident..
She stroked the now useless gem at her neck as she moved towards the window. She contemplated many things as she stared out over her new capital, among them the unnerving silence of the rouge Mother Confessor. Had Serra decided to go against her now? Had she simply run off with her Quillion?
If that were the case she would find it quite useless if she didnt return soon. That clever little web would destroy it if she didn't reset it before long, and few but the most talented would even think to look for something like it.
Over all though she hoped Serra returned, she didn't want to lose such a valuable ally.
Liliana released the gem around her neck as she heard the door slowly swing open. She turned to face the servant standing in the doorway.
"The delegation from the wizards keep has arrived Empress."
She brushed a loose strand of hair away from her face.
"Set them in the dining room, I will join them shortly."
The servant bowwed, then turned and pulled the door closed behind him.
