Land of Origin: deep in the rang'shada mountains

Appearance (formal and informal clothes as well as height, eye and hair colour, and overall appearance): slightly above average height but not noticeably so. Blue eyes, brown hair. forest garb. Has a strong jaw, and hawklike eyes which are quite memorable.

Weapon (Optional): two sword on back, and a decent amount of weaponry strapped around body (not as much as chase mind you). Walden is trained with most forms of weaponry such as bows.

Armour (Optional): whatever suits him.

Personality: on first impression very ominous and slightly intimidating, but on second impression a down to earth person who is relaxed.

Form of the gift (Additive and Subtractive, Prophecy, War Wizard, etc.) (Optional): none

Past or Current Career(s) (Soldier in the D'Haran army, wizard for the Old World, etc.) (Optional): a member of a long line of warriors called wardens (named after the defenders of the boundary in the times of Richard & Kahlan) which defend a religious haven in deep in the rang'shada mountains, where people can go to avoid the worries of the world.

Short History: having been born in a secluded area of worship walden knew very little of magic and the sort. Ever since a young age walden's deepest desire was to be the best warden there ever was. As soon as he was old enough to train he dedicated his life to it. unfortunately though days after his training was completed, warriors came and destroyed everything and everyone, and walden was the only survivor. Unsure of what to do with his highly trained skills, walden journied out into the world with a thirst for vengence.

It seems like a good character, but there is one problem — the boundaries have been down for hundreds if not thousands of years.

Maybe you could change "when the boundaries fell" to "when the non-magic-wanting old farts died".

And the term "boundary warden" could just refer to the people who kept the line between the old farts and magic. The name boundary warden just stuck (since Richard's time)

ahhh, ok that makes sense. I wasnt entirely sure about time frame.

would it be ok to say taht he is defending a group of people seeking a higher spiritual order (not unlike in NE), and over the centuries a long line of wardens have defended them from those that would take advantage of them?

Sure, that would be fine. Maybe if you develop the place enough in your posts by having him think about it or something like that, I might even add it in as a location. I will wait until later to officially accept your application, but you can edit it to suit your new history and then start posting if you wish.

and I added the part about it being destroyed because that gave walden an excuse to leave .
