So far Tessa had been able to find 5 of her sister Mord-Sith and secret them out of the palace. She knew the rest had been captured, the blood bath that it had taken to get them was still spoken of. Tessa smiled saddly, but also proudly. Her sisters had stood up under impossible odds, in true Mord-Sith fashion, and fought for their Lord Rahl. "Are you ok Ma'am?" Tessa looked up at young man who stood directly infront of her. She realized she had been crying and quickly wiped away her tears. "Oh.. I'm fine.." He put and arm around her and guided her to a bench near the wall. She glanced down taking in the array of weapons he kept on his belt. "Why is it I don't believe you?" He was watching her closely. Tessa sighed, she had walked herself into a corner. She looked down as she spoke. "I recently lost my sister, and I'm tired I just need to find a room." He patted her on the back as he got up. He offered her a hand. "I was just on my way back to the room, I will take you too a free one." Tessa accepted the hand, and used the opportunity to glance at the dagger at his hip. It bore a grace on its pomel. Maybe he would know something about where her sisters were being kept?

Joshua helped the woman up, and turned, keeping a hand on her back to help guide her. "I realized we haven't been properly introduced. I'm Joshua Kerston, I work for Lord Tarabane." He glanced to wards her and noticed a bit of a suprised look on her face. She sniffed and brushed her face again. "I am Lady Tessa.." She turned her head away and ran her hand back over her long blonde braid. It reminded Joshua of nothing but a Mord-Sith. He turned and took them down a corridor that lead to some empty rooms. "We are nearly there Lady Tessa, don't worry about payment I will take care of it." They arrived at an empty room directly accross from Joshuas own room. He turned from her and opened the door. "Here we are Lady Tessa, I bid you a good night." He felt a knife slide into his back, then a sharp shove sending him into the room. He seen her pull a pair of silken red gloves from her belt, then everything went black.

Tessa pulled he agiel out of her bag where she had been forced to hide it. She had quickly learned Tarabane had put a bounty on all Mord-Sith. The people who taught her the lesson had learned one of their own: Never try to take a Mord-Sith alive, for it had cost them theirs. She glanced at him and grunted in displeasure. Men were weak, what could be done about it? She carefully removed his weapons belt, moved him onto the matress for lack of a better place, and tied hims arms and legs to posts. It was time to wake him up. Tessa slammed her agiel into his side, using enough force to break one of his ribs. Nothing happened. She tightened her grip on her agiel, waves of pain rolling up her arm, nothing was wrong Lord Rahl lived. Once again determined to get the information she slammed her agial into his side again. Still nothing. This strange man seemed unaffected by her agiel. Tessa glanced at his knifebelt. She would have answers one way or another.

Tessa packed the knife belt into her satchel as she left the room with the bloody figure still tied to the bed. He wasn't quite dead, however that would not be a problem, in his state it would take an experienced wizard to heal him but he was immune to their magic. She had learned the location her sisters were being held and something more, some of them had betrayed Lord Rahl and now worked for this new Lord Terabane. That was the only reason they kept the others around. He hoped to have more decide to accept him as their Lord. "Ma lady are you ok?" She looked up and realized she had walked into one of the servants who worked these rooms. The servant froze with her hand half way to Tessas' arm. Tessa quickly siezed the womans outstretched arm before she could retract it. "Please ma lady! I didn't see anything!" Tessa slammed her agiel into the womans chest. "I'm sorry, but I can not let anything harm my chances of saving my sisters or Lord Rahl." She twisted the agiel.

Back when she had been an active Mord-sith, Tessa had been to this area of the palace many times. She ran her finger along the wall as she strolled the familiar halls and soon came to a familiar door. Quickly checking up and down the hall to ensure secrecy she pulled the door open. "You will have to do much better than that if you hope to break a Mord-Sith Briena!" The naked shackled figure spat at the traitors face. Briena quickly back handed her. "Now I thought we were over this part. It's Mistress, or Mistress Briena..." Briena had turned around and was now facing the door. She pointed her agiel towards Tessa. "You people know better than to disturb a Mord-Sith! Especially when shes training one of her pets! In light of the circumstances I will allow you to leave, however if I ever see you in the palace you will join this traitor for training!" Tessa took a step into the room and quietly pulled the door closed behind her. "You dare call a true Mord-Sith a traitor?" Tessa pulled her agiel out of her satchel and dropped it. "You who would so easily submit to the man who betrayed Lord Rahl!" Tessa slowly walked forward. Brienas face had gone white. "You who would strike your sisters to bend them to the traitors will!" Tessa finally reached Briena. Having overcome her shock, she lifted her agiel like a club and brought it down to strike Tessa. Tessa Grunted with disgust as she grabbed Brienas arm and rammed her agiel into Brienas throat. "You new Mord-Sith have no talent. I'm suprised you don't bend over crying at the touch of your own agiel." Briena tried using her free hand to push Tessas arm away, but it was to no avail. Tessa twisted Brienas agiel out of her hand and pressed it against the her side. "Get down on your knees like the dog you are and beg for your life." Brienas eyes were wide and blood was beggining to foam around her mouth. "As entertaining as this is, mind finishing the traitor and letting me down?" Tessa looked up having completely forgotten her sisters plight. She quickly moved her agiel to Brienas chest and gave a quick twist. "I'm sorry sister, I just.. I had to.." The chained woman laughed and shook her head. "No need to explain Tessa, just grab the key from her belt and get me down." She pushed the traitors body over and ripped they key from its belt. She jumped up and pressed the key into the lock and turned it. Her sister dropped to the ground like a bag of rice. Tessa quickly pulled her up and moved towards the door. "You may not recognize me with my own blood on me, but I'm Samia." Tessa glanced at Samias face. "You're right, but soon we will replace it with traitors blood."

Tessa layed Samia on the small bed and took a step back. Their unexpected helper stepped forward and lay a hand on Samias head. "I need you to restrain you're power, if you take my magic I wont be able to help either of us." Samia nodded her head a bit then went stiff. The strange wizard moved his other hand across Samias naked body. "Your wounds are not too bad." He reached up and placed one hand on either side of her head and began his invisable work. Samia went rigid, her hands in a death grip on the bed. After about half an hour the wizard took a step back aparantly finished for the time. "Sleep now Mord-Sith. I healed what I could but some wounds need to heal on their own." He turned toward Tessa and gestured towards the door, she went through into his sitting room and waited. He stepped through a few minutes later and took a seat at the table not far from the room Samia was in. Tessa aproached and took a seat across from him. "Not many would help Mord-Sith. Fewer would help Mord-Sith who were aiming to take their lords head." The wizard stroked his greying brown beard as he considered her question. "If it's Lord Rahls head you aim for we may have a problem, this Tarabane fellow is no lord of mine." Tessa smiled warmly (for a Mord-Sith). "Then well met and thank you for helping my sister. I am Tessa." He inclined his head in a sort of bow. "Well met mistress Tessa, I am wizard of the first order Sillos." He ran his hand through his beard again then went on. "As for helping you and your sister, I will admit it was for selfish reasons." That put Tessa back on edge, she had never liked being used. She leaned forward as he once again continued. "You see the spell around this palace severely limmits my gift, had I not just arrived I doubt I would have been able to use enough of my gift to heal your friend as much as I did. Anyways I was sent here from Aydindril to assess the situation in the palace and try to set up some sort of resistance group if possible." Dispite herself Tessa found herself suddenly intrested in this wizards plan. "How is it you wanted our help?" This had been the question he had aparantly been hoping for. He smiled and pulld his chair closer to the table, leaned as far across it as he could, and lowered his voice. "I want you and your sisters to be the resistance." Tessa grimaced. Mord-Sith were an independant lot who usually did what they wanted, and with Lord Rahl in danger they would want to run out and save him. The only thing that stopped Tessa from doing just that was lacking the knowledge of his location. However Lord Rahl would try to reclaim his ancestral home and seat of power, maybe she would be able to convince her sisters to stay. She noticed Wizard Sillos had been carefully studying her face while she had considered his plan. "My sisters will be difficult to convince to stay, but I believe it can be done. This is to help Lord Rahl." A smile spread across Wizard Sillos face. "My dear this has always been about helping Lord Rahl."

Nine of her sisters. She had only been able to free nine and not another one could be now. her hand in her satchel had a death grip on her agiel as she silently watched her remaining sisters swing back and forth. Having decided they could not be turned fast enough and with some unknown group freeing them, Tarabane had ordered the rest in the palace to be publicly hung. The message bellow them read "Traitors to truth, peace, and order". She found no amusement at Tarabane using the same sign that was put up for every one of his men who had been executed publicly by Lord Rahl. She burned for vengance. He would pay.
